I am asked questions like "how did you ever come up with Haunting Kitty?" or "where did you get Haunting Kitty from" all the time, so I decided to put the answer on the homepage of my website. here it is, the story, or explanation anyway of the origins of Haunting Kitty.
Part I - the Kitty:
The first thing I should tell you about myself, is that I am a true, hard-core, cat-lover! i Have been as long as I can remember. I am talking about The kind of cat-Lover, that thought when she was a little girl, that if there was such a thing as reincarnation; then the best thing to reincarnate as would definitely be a cat!
I had developed a recent infatuation with the 'new web cams' and my natural tendencies towards exhibitionism, creating the need for a YIM/MSN profile that was separate from the regular profile I used to stay in contact with my family. I experimented with the handle Kit-Kat69 at an adult chat room, but kept finding that people thought I'd picked it because I was a colored woman that liked to 69, instead of a Kitty Kat wanna be born in 1969!Of course It was impossible to just use kitty, or kittykat or any variation of, due to the popularity of kitties, leaving me with the need to find a prefix for my kitty.
Part II - Haunting: so now the task at hand... to find a descriptive word for the kind of kitty I wanted to be.Ã, I am not particularly creative when it comes to writing, and therefore found myself at a loss to think of an adjective that i liked, and that sounded sexy and original, until I came across Haunting, it was then that I knew exactly what kind of kitty I wanted to be.
Haunt.ing hauntÃ,·ing (hÃf´nt.i.)
adjective:
1. continually recurring to the mind; not easily forgotten -impossible to forget- unforgettable;
2. having a deeply disquieting effect; moving arousing or capable of arousing deep emotion
3.having a quality of great beauty or sadness so as to be memorable:
evocative - poignant - unforgettable - indelible seductive - remembered - persistent.
And so I'll leave it up to you to go ahead and find out just how haunting i can be.
